I took my first cruise in the fall of 2004 it was a Norwegian Cruise from Baltimore to Bermuda. I think it was one of the smallest cruise ships in their fleet and we had rough seas on the return trip home. While I thought this was fun, there was a lot of passengers stumbling around the ship and a lot of seasick people. Since that first cruise I have gone to Caribbean on several Princess and Royal Caribbean cruises, Mexican Riviera on Carnival (this one was for our honeymoon so extra special), Alaska Inside Passage on Holland America, and in 2022 we took the kids on their first cruise (Disney Fantasy).
